Biomass energy is any organic matter (wood, crops, seaweed, animal waste) that can be used as an energy source. Biomass is the oldest source of energy afterward the sun. There are four types of biomass energy. They are wood and culture products, solid waste, landfill gas and biofuels ( neutral spirits and biodiesel). Wood and agriculture products make up about 48.7 percent of biomass energy that is used. Solid waste is the intense of trash that turns waste into a useable form of energy. altogether garbage is not biomass; half of its energy content comes from plastics, which are made from petroleum and natural gas.
