In the shadow of piece was written By Jane Goodall, she was born in England April 3 1934. She grew up London and had a great interest in chimpanzees. In her book she talks active how she how her and her mother went to the zoo for the world-class time, her mother bought her a toy chimpanzee and she keep that toy. Her mothers friends didnt relay care for the toy, they thought a child of that age would be frighted of such a grisly animal form the African forest. Ever since that day she said she wanted to go to africa and await the wild chimpanzees.
Jane Goodall got her opportunity to go to africa when she was a young adult. mavin of her close friends lived in africa, and wrote her a letter to see if she was concerned in ruminate opportunity. She doped her life style and job ( witch was at a restaurant she was a waitress). She went to africa. She worked for a man named Louis Leakey. Her first job in africa was working with archeologist digging up ancient animals, she didnt mind that job she erect it a bit fascinating that boring at the same time. Louis Leakey noticed Janes great interest in animals. He offered her an assignment. The assignment was to examine the behavior of chimpanzees. And of corse she took the opportunity, her life long ideate to go to africa and be with the chimpanzees.
Louis Leakey had to find the funds so Jane could go and examine the behavior of the chimps. He later did, but she had to direct some one with her. Her mother went along with her. They went to Gombe Stream national Park, when they arrived there was some political turmoil and they couldnt go into the park. They were re-assigned for a trial run to study some monkeys. Jane studied them for about a month, that is where she learned what type of behaviors to look for and how she should write them down. in that location she knew what things she needed and things that she can do with out.
