OSCAR HISTORY The honorary society of Motion Picture humanities and Sciences is a paid honorary organization composed of over 6,000 motion shew artists and craftsmen and women. The purposes of the Academy are to advance the humanities and sciences of motion figure of speechs; nurture cooperation among creative leaders for cultural, educational and technological progress; admit outstanding achievements; cooperate on technical research and betterment of methods and equipment; provide a cat valium forum and meeting kingdom for various branches and crafts; represent the point of view of actual creators of the motion picture; and foster educational activities between the professional community and the public-at-large. Wise, Richard Kahn, Karl Malden, Arthur Hiller and Robert Rehme. Current president Frank Pierson took postal service in August 2001.
