In 2009 the Childrens Trust arrangements in Essex undertook a check over and from this recommendations were made to the Childrens Trust Board.
The purpose of the Childrens Trust is to provide the county-wide strategical lead of the Childrens Trust in Essex by rescue to sign upher in partnership those authorities with the duty to co-operate and early(a) organisations co-opted in order to secure improvement in the public assistance of children and young people in Essex, as defined by Section10 of the Children Act 2004.
They work very closely with the Essex sentry dutying Children Board, a statutory multi agency organisation which brings together agencies who work to safeguard and make headway the welfare of children and young people in Essex.

The SET Procedures reflect all relevant law, regulation, statutory and non statutory presidential term guidance and best practice as at first April 2006; including the key government document Working Together to Safeguard Children.
