Clara Barton is the constituteer of American Red dawn in 1881. Born on December 25, 1821 in Massachusetts. She had four erstwhile(a) siblings and they would always boss her around. She was closest to her brother David, and until he got sick, that she took upkeep of him and that was the only time Clara had experience with nursing. At school, Clara was shy and non very sociable. When she was at the age of seventeen, her parents urged her to be a teacher, so she went into the teaching program and her students loved her because she treated them with respect.
When the Civil contend started in 1861, Clara asked the War department if she could help distribute food and medicine to the soldiers, she was known as Angel of the Battlefield When distributing introductory aid supplies to field hospitals, camps, and battlefields, she also nursed the soldiers as well. As she continued her effort in the battlefield, she was chosen the Superintendent of in state of wardness nurses.
At the end of war, Barton was involved with finding missing tuition about soldiers from the U.S government. Clara helped to identify and marked graves.
She even drew up lists of soldiers who were missing and could not be found, so she published reading on newspapers so others, relatives, or friends might recognize it. When the war was over, she didnt have much time to rest. She went to visit Switzerland and found out about International Committee of the Red Cross. Clara worked thither and earned many honors from the Red Cross, she even gave many speeches. later years of working, she established a Red Cross in the U.S., which is what we now call, the American Red Cross.
