Our brief was Music as a Voice of Protest. After a mass of bad fancys and being a little lost, we trenchant on the idea of using visual paintings i.e. edited image of a protest, and a live performane backing track. We impression that painting mixed with live music would present the just about powerfull image to the audiance. Now we just had to decide what to protest about...
We decided to consider a subject that really matters to our peers. We straight away thought of the raise of student fees. Weve already seen students tuition fees double this class, and theyre planning on doubling them again to 6,000 pounds a year and its getting worse. Something needs to be done earlier this gets way out of hand. Luckily for us there was a rally in central capital of the United Kingdom on the 29th of October protesting against this. So we travelled up for the day, protested and got more or less good footage. The Protest was a dress circle of free rein, There was everywhere 50,000 students marching around centarl london it was crazy, we had a stool of fun and got a lot of cool footage. We tried to get lots of different kinds of shots, so the audience wouldnt get bored of similar footage.
When it came slash to editing we had a lot of set backs.



None of us were skilled in telly editing but we really were set on the idea so Mel Polly and I made a real cause to tackle the create mentally ourselves and make this work. A lot of the epoch at the mystifyning was spent learning how the programme worked and editinng down 2 hours of footage to only 5 minutes. I felt care we had most of it done when the programme crashed and pretty much wiped most of the project. This was the worst thing that couldve happened, we had to completely start again. But because we knew the programme it went a lot quicker this time. there were a lot of other set backs with computers...a lot, but i wont go into all of them.
