There was a part of the play when Mr. Memory was on and when they are communicate questions they pointed out into the audience, by doing this it made the action more individualised and direct rather than pointing out into thin air.
I felt that the main point, which was a basic naturalistic set with not a lot of props, worked well.
For the reason that it didn’t complicate things because if you contrive too many props and set decorations, (The difference is that a prop is something that is touched or used by an actor and if it’s not then it’s a set decoration) on stage i.e. chair, table, table light, fireplace, rocking chair, music player, TV it would institute the stage look to crowded, and that is without the actors performing on stage.
However as one of their many role-plays Stephen Critchlow and Stephen Ventura who appeared on stage and manipliated the set by role-playing parts of the set decoration, while Hannay and Pamela are escaping through the moors of Edinburgh.
