Rough Reflection of Irish Lit

Through reading various works of Irish literary productions this semester, Ive come to see that the Irish culture is not what it was hundreds of years ago but rather a salmagundi of both Irish and face influence. Many works this writing style has to do with the oppression of Irish people and how theyve lost so much. One of the main points in this theme of loss is that of the handed-down Irish wording cosmos changed all over to English. This fact has back up in the shaping of Irish literature, influencing elements such as theme, tone, and style. The four-spot works I have chosen to reflect on are: Brightest Most Bright, a poem by Dillian ORathaille, Translations, a good turn by Brien Friel, Grace, a short score by James Joyce, and The Playboy of the Western World, a play by J.M Synge. Brightest Most Bright, an aisling poem presents a vision of Ireland. In it, the author refers describes Ireland similar to that of a beautiful woman. This tone in this poem poem is indeed filled with sorrow as the In Translations we, the readers are made aware that changes are being made to the country of Ireland. The plays setting takes place mostly in the Hedge School and as characters are introduced throughout the write up we see that the British are slowly taking over the country.

What these National school did was force young people to fix English while receiving an education. And since the school were tuition free, many snarl the need to have their children...
