That was how luxury cruising was before the economy took a nose dive and with it went a cut back of wonderful happy staff, fresh food, and sentience quality entertainment. So much has happened with the economy and it is betn in altogether aspects of life; the one place we did not want to see this issue was on our family vacations. In both January 2006 and January 2010, my husband and I boarded a beautiful luxury cruise liner with our twain children. In 2006, the staff greeted us in their perfectly press white uniforms and badges reflecting the beautiful amber lights that illuminated the entryway. They were perfectly reverential and polite; answering any questions we had even before we could barricade asking. Upon our return to the exact ship and exact destinations in 2010, the staff still had pressed uniforms and flashy badges, yet their attitude was kind of different.
